Title of the Talk
Making Healthcare AI Work for Real People: Lessons from Medicare, Medicaid, and Modern Care Platforms.
Abstract
Healthcare AI is no longer a future concept - it is already embedded in the systems that serve hundreds of millions of Americans through Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health insurance programs. But deploying AI at that scale is fundamentally different from deploying it in a controlled research environment. This keynote draws on over a decade of hands-on experience building and modernizing national-scale care platforms to share what actually works, what fails, and why the hardest problems are rarely about the model itself. The talk covers how hybrid cloud architecture, real-time data integration, and governance infrastructure form the foundation that makes AI usable in clinical and operational settings - and how those same foundations become even more critical when AI is embedded in medical robotics and autonomous care systems. Attendees will leave with a practical framework for deploying healthcare AI that is safe, equitable, explainable, and built to last.
